The private beach was a real highlight, quiet, clean, and pleasant. It seemed better sheltered from the waves than the beach by neighboring La Principessa, which made it lovely for swimming and relaxing. We stayed at Baia di Tempsa Resort for 10 days in September and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well located for a relaxing beach holiday. A couple of things in the kitchen made cooking harder than it needed to be: there were only four regular knives, no proper kitchen knives, and just one chopping board. Mosquito nets on the windows would have helped too, especially in the evenings. Still, it was a lovely stay, and we’d definitely come back.

The beach and lifeguards were fantastic. The restaurant was closed for most of our stay, unfortunately, since it was already off-season. The beds and mattresses could do with replacing, and the kitchen was short on knives, with no proper kitchen knives apart from a bread knife. Other than that, everything was great. We’d gladly return.

I picked the first week of September because I wanted to relax, and that’s exactly what happened. The place is welcoming and very well kept, with the beach just a few meters away. We were a family of five, including our little one who was almost 2 months old. I found it online and jumped on a special offer. I’d happily return once the heat starts picking up. I met Rosario, the fantastic lifeguard, and Ettore at reception, who was very helpful. There’s a bar and restaurant nearby too, where we met Angelo, the chef, such a nice guy. We also met some wonderful people on the beach, especially one family who have come every summer for 12 consecutive summers. We became friends and have kept in touch months later. Amantea is close by, and the feast of San Francesco da Paola takes place that week. I’d give the location 4 stars. The downside is that you have to walk to get essentials, and there aren’t many good restaurants nearby. The one on site is the exception, and Molo dei Bretti is superb. We’ll definitely come back if we can.

The resort is well kept and definitely suited to a relaxing holiday. The lifeguard was a wonderful, professional, kind, and helpful man. The sea was beautiful, though annoying fish left us with lots of bites, so swimming wasn’t relaxing at all. We arrived without a reservation on August 13th and got a room with all the comforts, even if it wasn’t the prettiest one. I was fine with that. What I can’t forget, though, is the pasta dish at their restaurant. I can’t remember its name, but I wish I had the recipe 😍😍😍. If I remember right, it had 'nduja and grouper 😅 (I’m attaching a photo). I recommend the resort, but especially the restaurant. That dish was so good it deserved more than stars! My heartfelt compliments to the chef! Alba C. and Italo B.

The property is beautiful, clean, well cared for, and right by the sea, but there wasn’t much entertainment. It may suit seniors or families with very young children better. Three entertainers tried to put activities on, but participation was limited because many holidaymakers wanted quiet, and because of how the property was managed. Very often, private parties at the "Molo di Bretti" restaurant took priority over guests staying at the property. The beach is open to others too, not just Baia guests. You can come in from outside by renting an umbrella or bringing your own. I was there for two weeks. My suggestion would be to rent a house or stay at a nearby B&B to save money, then rent the lido and enjoy the beach.
