Hotel Italia

Meals were excellent on the whole, and there was so much food we could hardly move. Breakfast had a decent choice of hot and cold options. We chose the next day's evening meal in advance, except on a couple of tasting menu days when the menus were set. We stayed a week at Hotel Italia for a skiing holiday. It's a lovely, friendly little hotel, with excellent service and staff. Our large room had a beautiful view over the town and mountains, though the bathroom was a little dated and could do with an upgrade. It's in the centre of the old town, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The bubble lift isn't too far, but it takes a while to get there in ski boots while carrying skis, and the walk back is uphill. We found we could rent a ski locker next to the bubble, and it was the best 40 euros we've ever spent. We had a fantastic time in Canazei and at the Hotel Italia, and hope to come back next year.

Our room had recently been renovated and came with amazing mountain views. The food was generous and delicious, and the staff made us feel cared for and like part of their family, in a very Italian way. We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Italia.

Nothing was too much trouble, and the food, service, and staff were brilliant. A fantastic family-run hotel and excellent value for money. We'd definitely return, and would highly recommend staying there.

We booked two double rooms, but only one matched the photos and what we expected. The other was an unrenovated room with a single bed and an extra sofa bed squeezed in. The website doesn't show any of the unrenovated rooms, even though they do exist. We raised the issue, but weren't offered another room. The only offer was free drinks during the week.
