Albatross Mobile Homes on Camping San Francesco

It was mostly families with children, so there weren’t parties or loud behavior. We stayed in a fairly spacious mobile home with a well-equipped kitchen and a gas grill for barbecues. The park is large and has lots to do: three pools, kids’ splash areas, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, plus evening activities for children. One pool is heated. There are restaurants and shops on site. I’d highly recommend renting a mobile home through Eurocamp; the staff were professional and communicative.

There are lots of pools and playgrounds, and the beach is clean and safe. A day’s sunbed rental costs 20 euros. Our mobile home was clean, but the mattress was awful, like a brick, and the pillow was low and hard too.

The staff were really nice, so shoutout to them, but I can’t recommend this place, with or without a dog. I’ve stayed at many campsites and this one had the least entertainment, while everything inside seemed overpriced. Dogs are technically allowed but don’t seem welcome: there’s very little space for them by the sea and only short periods when you can take them into the water. The open-air gym doesn’t open until 9:30, which is already hot on these days. Since there’s no staff there, I think it could open earlier to avoid people getting heatstroke while working out. This also isn’t a cheap stay, and my final bill was higher than the price in the email. I expected things like AC and Wi-Fi to be included. We got 30 hours of AC for the week, then had to pay extra. Free Wi-Fi is limited to four hours a day per person, doesn’t work half the time, and isn’t available throughout the camp. Of the four of us, only one managed to log in. The laundry information was wrong too: the map from RECEPTION said washing cost 5 euros and included detergent, but it actually cost 6 euros and detergent wasn’t included. I arrived with my laundry and 5 euros expecting to wash it, but couldn’t.

The beach is clean and pleasant, and kids have excellent football and basketball courts to play on. The pools are nice too. They should do something about the embarrassing rush for sunbeds, such as removing unused ones that only have a towel on them. I did miss having a good beach volleyball court on the beach.
