Happy Camp in Costa D'Argento Camping

I really liked this glamping spot, and the manager looking after us gave wonderful service. There's no WiFi, and getting to the beach without a car means a very long walk, so I'd need to drive if I came back. Otherwise, I had a great stay and would return.

The beach, Macchiatonda, was a highlight, with a seemingly endless shoreline for long swims and walks. A free open-air shuttle runs there and back every half-hour, more often in peak season. We spent six wonderful days at Camping Costa D'Argento, in a beautiful shady spot beneath a huge, peaceful pine forest. The staff were incredible from start to finish, the warmest and kindest we've met in Italy. The pool is enormous, about 25 metres, and perfectly clean. The restaurant and mini market were both great, and the whole place has a laidback, positive feel. There is entertainment at night, but it's held in a separate area, so we barely heard it from the campsite. I can't recommend Costa D'Argento highly enough.

Absolutely spectacular.

The restaurant is small and quiet, with delicious food at affordable prices, and there's a little convenience store for basics. We picked up local wine and toilet paper there. Bring your own towels and toilet paper, though: our apartment had no towels and only one roll. That seems normal for a camping stay, so it didn't bother us. We spent three peaceful, comfortable nights in the clean, cozy deluxe apartment, with fantastic countryside views. Waking to birdsong and fresh air was a welcome change after the city.
