We had an amazing week and really enjoyed both the room and the pool. The shower cubicle in the bathroom has fitted body jets, which was great. There are lovely beaches nearby, and Riccardo was an amazing host. He even arranged gluten-free breakfast at the local bar. I'd highly recommend spending a holiday here.

I was disappointed with Antico Casale del Poggio. I had been looking forward to a stay there, drawn by Sardinia and the idea of a special experience, but I ended up cancelling my reservation. I understand that cancellation rules protect both hosts and travelers. Still, the owner stuck to them rigidly and didn't take my circumstances into account. I wasn't asking for a full refund. I suggested either returning the cleaning fee, since I wouldn't be there and it wouldn't be needed, or giving me a voucher for a later visit. Both requests were turned down, and the communication felt neither welcoming nor empathetic. I never got to see the Casale or experience Sardinian hospitality. My only contact was with an owner who, in my view, showed little concern for guests' well-being and no flexibility when something unexpected came up. Based on this experience, I can't recommend Antico Casale del Poggio. Make sure your dates are certain before booking, since attempts to reach an understanding seemed to be met with unwavering strictness.

Giovanni was welcoming and helpful, and his perfect English made communication easy. The countryside setting is ideal, only 15 minutes from Cagliari. With just four rooms, the place never felt crowded, and the peaceful grounds and pool were magical. It's a beautiful, comfortable B&B, and surprisingly inexpensive for what you get. I had a superb stay and hope to return someday.

We'd happily stay again. Riccardo was a great host and shared helpful travel tips. The supermarket is close, with a few small restaurants just around the corner, and the outdoor seating area was lovely. The pool was cleaned every day. A fantastic Airbnb!
