Suite Elegance Belvedere Capri

The location and view are amazing, and those are the only reasons I'd recommend it. The nightly price didn't match the quality, which wasn't what I expected. If you close the terrace door while you're outside, you can get stuck there, and it's really hard to get an answer from the host. There's no emergency number, so you just have to hope she'll reply.

Lily made sure we were looked after throughout our stay. She booked aperitifs and dinner at beautiful spots, arranged a private boat tour around the island, and took care of all the details. Belvedere Capri is a real gem. Our room felt like a private apartment but had all the comforts of a hotel: a fully equipped kitchenette, a great shower, a comfortable bed, lovely furnishings, and a private patio with a stunning sea view. It was perfect. If you want to settle in quickly and enjoy the beauty of Capri, this is the place.

Every ferry to Capri was cancelled on the day we were meant to stay because of the weather. Suite Belverdere showed us very little sympathy and wouldn't offer any refund. It ruined our honeymoon, and the customer service was terrible. Another couple we met at the ferry that day got a full refund from their property. We had to pay for different accommodation in Naples and lost a fortune. Then they tried to claim we'd chosen not to go. Why would we have done that? Beware of booking.

We booked a suite that was supposed to have a bedroom and sitting room with a sofa couch. What we got was one room with one double bed and one single bed. The manager said they wouldn't charge us, so we left, but the next day they charged €350 to my credit card. I'm now in a legal dispute trying to recover it. The photos were misleading, and I found the two sister managers unprofessional. The place was overpriced, dark, and smelly, with no window apart from a small one by the entrance. I travel internationally all the time and have never had such a terrible experience. Beware, you can't trust what they say about the rooms.
