We paid 255 euros for one night, and I wouldn’t stay there for free. We had the room ”Riva”, which felt more like “Titanic”. The boat decor was awful, parts of the walls were coming off, and the air conditioning didn’t work. After they “fixed” it, it sounded like an airplane engine, so we couldn’t sleep all night. The hotel didn’t seem to care. The pool rules were bizarre for a plunge pool, including a ban on sunscreen and advice not to swim for three hours after eating. Take a look at my photos and you’ll see why I say not to book it. The reviews on booking and hotels.com can’t be real… 😂 Have a nice vacation somewhere else!

The service was a real plus. Our host, I think her name was Naomi, was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is good for its 3-4 star category, though of course it doesn't come with the amenities of a five-star place. The room was smaller than the photos led me to expect. The standard Riva room seems to come in several versions, and the website made it hard to tell which one we'd get. Ours had a tiny bathroom and a very small window, while the photo only showed the bed. That confusion, and what seemed like the least appealing Riva option, cost it a star for me. It's in the port area and central part of town, but getting up from the port or climbing into the main part of the city is quite a hike. I'd take a taxi from the port, since hauling luggage uphill was tough.

The property and rooms are fine, but think hard about the location, especially if you're older or not very fit. I'm in my 20s and found the walk tiring. There's no way to get a taxi from the hotel, so whenever you want to go out, you're walking a fair distance and then climbing more than 200 steps to reach Capri city. This place really isn't suitable for everyone.

We left the day after arriving. There was no toilet paper or soap in the room, and when we reported it the next day, they said rooms are checked twice, as if we were lying. They still didn't provide any. The manager was rude and extremely confrontational, turning a simple request into a heated argument instead of just supplying toilet paper. We paid $500 a night for a substandard hotel, as though we'd risk all that over fifty-cent paper. The owner or manager clearly has an ego problem. Breakfast was stale pastries too. Find somewhere better.
