b&b Il Girasole

The owner's welcome is unmatched. This is an excellent B&B, with top-level comfort and cleanliness, and I say that as someone who knows the business, since my wife runs a B&B in Puglia.

I'm a teacher. About 20 days ago, I booked a room at B&B Il Girasole through an agency for a conference on November 6, 7, and 8. Yesterday, Saturday, the owner called to apologize and say he couldn't provide the room because the bathroom had broken and would be difficult to repair in time. He suggested I stay at another B&B he owns in Imola, with him picking me up and dropping me off at his expense. I reluctantly agreed because I knew finding another place only a few days before a national conference in a small town like Castel San Pietro would be difficult. We agreed that I'd call if I found another option, but he was supposed to find a solution for me. Meanwhile, I contacted the agency so they could try to sort it out. When the agency asked him to work out a solution with them, the owner of GIRASOLE even refused to let me stay in IMOLA because the agreed price wasn't convenient for him. I absolutely don't recommend it. Zero professionalism. The owner of a house should find a solution at his own expense and not give up just because it isn't convenient. I'd read some negative reviews and hadn't trusted them, but now I felt I needed to write this.

The place is just like the photos, maybe even better. It's welcoming, clean, and has all the comforts. The managers are special people who make an effort to meet guests' needs, so I'd recommend it to young people and families on holiday, and also to anyone who has to be there for other reasons. We paid €45 for two people and hope to return. The villa was clean and well furnished, with spotless bathrooms, and the location was excellent, close to the center.
