B&B Relais Sul Siroto

The courtyard and house are absolutely beautiful, and the host couple were kind. One of their daughters made delicious desserts, though both daughters came across as a little arrogant. The rooms are nice, but they face the road, and you can be seen from the balcony. Cars keep arriving and leaving, so you hear and see them constantly. It doesn't feel peaceful. The balcony looks out over the countryside, which is okay, but there's no sea view because the sea is too far away. You need a car or train to get to the beach. The property is beautiful but very isolated, and the dogs can be noisy even at night. The nearby shopping area in Castelnuovo is unattractive. Upper Castelnuovo is beautiful, though not especially impressive. They offer some lovely hikes, but the guides don't seem to be supervised well. One guide spoke badly about some guests behind their backs. I also didn't find the host couple's staff especially polite, for example when arranging transfers to hikes or a pickup from the train station. I've seen much more beautiful places in Cilento, where I've had more enjoyable stays, closer to nature and with lovely people.

Meals and conversation help shape the stay here, and even the ingredients come from the property's own garden. You can go swimming, take cooking classes in Mediterranean Cilento cuisine, hike, or explore the area's culture. The hosts are warm and, above all, very knowledgeable, making for an unforgettable vacation. If you want to discover more of the beautiful Cilento National Park, Relais sul Siroto is an ideal base.

The owners are so welcoming and kind, and the setting is lovely. It's in an elevated spot that's handy for getting to both the coast and the inland area.
