Ronce

The hilltop setting does mean a walk into town is uphill, but the hourly bus and shuttle made getting there easy. Hotel Ronce was wonderfully quiet and clean, and the renovated rooms still have plenty of alpine character. After a day hiking, the wellness room with its three saunas was just the thing. Breakfast was a generous, tasty spread, and everyone on staff was so kind. I’d happily stay here again.

The balcony view was lovely every day, whatever the weather was doing, and our room was clean with lots of space. Hotel Ronce is in a great spot, and the bus pass and shuttle are a real help, so don’t let the hill put you off. After hiking, we enjoyed the beautiful gardens and wellness spa as a place to rest and recover. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the staff were friendly and went well beyond what we expected. We’d absolutely recommend it and plan to come back.

A comfortable, clean room and a pleasant atmosphere made this a lovely place to unwind in the Dolomites. The staff were very friendly, too. We really enjoyed our stay.

The best part of Hotel Ronce was how warmly we were treated. It felt more like staying with family or close friends than at a hotel, which is a special thing in Ortisei, where many places are luxurious and expensive. The owner greeted us each morning in the restaurant, and the staff were just as welcoming. They even set aside a thoughtful breakfast area for guests with pets, so you can eat without worrying about them. Everything was spotlessly clean and lovingly looked after, from the rooms to the shared spaces. The facilities may not be the newest, but our experience was wonderful from check-in through check-out. The freshly brewed Italian coffee was excellent. In the evening, the cozy bar offered a nice range of drinks, including good house wine at a very fair price. I’d gladly recommend Hotel Ronce to friends, and it’s the kind of place I’d want to return to.
