I’ve tried contacting the owners by phone, email, and their online inquiry form, but haven’t heard back through any of them. Is the place operating? I’ve seen recent reviews and wondered whether it’s just for campervans, or if cars are okay too.
Camping out on farmland.
The view is fantastic, and the toilet stays open through the night. We got there at 9 a.m. and couldn’t reach anyone, but paying €10 for the next day was no problem. Thanks so much! 🌞 Great spot for camping.
For €20, you get a toilet, water, and electricity. We found this place after driving past and spotting a few campers, when nearby sites were full and apartment prices were sky-high. We’d come in August during peak season, needed a couple of nights, and hadn’t booked ahead. There were still two tents, and the grandmother said we could park wherever there was room; her son would come by in the evening. I’m not sure whether the house rents rooms, but if you’re in a camper or have a tent, you can stay overnight without a reservation. Just settle in and the owner will arrive later. A real lifeline if you don’t have a booking at a nearby campsite!
We’ve brought our camper here a couple of times and parked on the lawn in front of the owners’ building, wherever we liked. Water, toilets, and electricity are available, and the scenery is stunning. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the center of Castelrotto, and the price is affordable.
