The tent pitches were easy to set up on, and there were sinks for all sorts of things, from drinking water and laundry to rinsing sand off your feet or cleaning fish. The staff were friendly and spoke English, and the service was great. We went for a swim in the sea in the morning, rinsed off at one of the sinks, then headed to the coffee shop for a good value espresso and croissant.

The staff were so welcoming, and the place itself is amazing. It’s just had a major renovation. The restaurant and market were due to open the following week.

We stayed in a lodge and enjoyed both the campsite and Castiglione Della Pescaia. The people were kind, everything was clean, and it was fairly quiet, depending on how many children were around. The beach is close and free, which is a real plus. The restaurant is small but welcoming, with good food, and the little market came in handy. There’s a shuttle to the village, though it only runs until 7 pm. In the mini suite comfort, the bathroom window was missing a mosquito screen, which would help with humidity. And bring mosquito repellent!

We had a family cabin with a well-equipped kitchen, so self-catering was easy, and the included AC kept it comfortable in the heat. The beach is an easy walk away, while Castiglione and its bars and restaurants are about 1.5 km along a paved cycle path. You can also take the bus or rent a bike on site. The grounds were clean and in a great spot, the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and there’s a good restaurant and a shop with competitive prices. We loved it.

We were grateful to get a few days here. They even found space for us when there wasn’t any available. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed. It’s right by the beach, has great facilities and the loveliest staff, and the walk to the little town is short. We’d recommend it a thousand percent. For me, that’s a 10 out of 5!
