We came as a walking group and stayed in this mountain village, away from the crowds. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean and comfortable, the food was homely, and the staff were friendly and efficient. There aren't many facilities, but I'd stay again.

Giuseppe was so friendly and helpful, and even waited until midnight for us to check in. Our room was clean and looked nice, and breakfast was just what we needed. A great place with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The breakfast buffet may have been the best we had on our Sicily trip. The hotel has character, with a terrace looking across the old town of Castiglione di Sicilia. We spent one night in spacious, clean rooms 25 and 26 and really enjoyed the stay. The hotel sent driving directions and a parking tip before we arrived. We managed to park in the square by the church just a few meters away, though that might not always be easy. The restaurant was closed, so we ate at nearby La dispensa dell'Etna. On that Monday in early May, most places were shut and the old town felt almost deserted in the evening. We loved the hotel, but the destination left us a little disappointed.

The late checkout made a big difference for us: our flight wasn't until midnight, and the owner let us keep the room about six hours past the usual checkout time at no charge. He also helped us find better directions and shorter routes. We stayed three days, and he was warm and attentive from the moment he greeted us at reception. Breakfast was all freshly prepared and had everything we needed. Thanks again, we'd highly recommend it.
