Via Fantoni 4

The owners are very kind, and I'd happily stay here again. This is a lovely, tidy, modern B&B in the centre of Dorga (Castione della Presolana), run by the Spampatti family. The owner is the famous skier Roberto Spampatti, who runs it with his wife. The welcoming rooms have every comfort, and the bathrooms are spacious and well supplied with linens. Everything is very clean, the beds are made, and there's private parking. I found one small downside with breakfast: it costs seven euros per person, so check whether it's included instead of assuming. You can decide on the spot whether to add it. I think it's worth the price, with fresh products, excellent cold cuts, and delicious cakes.

The owner was so kind, courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a beautiful, spacious kitchen. We stayed in the green room, which was just right: a decent-sized bathroom, towels, clean sheets, a large closet, and a TV. The house is lovely and new. Everything was perfect for me!

What brings you to B&B "Via Fantoni 4"? Is it Mrs. Giovanna's incomparable cakes, or Roberto's innovative pizzas, along with his achievements with the Italian national ski team and his mountain biking tips? Maybe you'd prefer basic rooms, unfriendly owners, industrial brioche and jam for breakfast, noisy chaos, and no interest in refined cooking with local organic ingredients. And perhaps the affordable prices don't appeal to you either.

The room was excellent and had been renovated recently. It's a pity they can't serve breakfast, though I hope that's only temporary. Getting to the upper floors is a bit awkward with a stroller.
