Apartment Manzoni 40 by Wonderful Italy

The host was very accommodating, and the place was excellent, close to the center. The kitchen has everything you need. Just be aware there’s no elevator for getting up and down.

The accommodation was nice and quiet, with good air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The bedroom and bathroom are both fairly spacious, while the kitchen, lounge, and dining area are compact but have what you need. The one thing missing was an electric kettle, so we had to heat water on the gas hob. There are three big flights of stairs to reach the apartment. That could be difficult with large suitcases or if stairs are a problem.

Francesco and his wife were wonderful hosts. He checked in to make sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. Everything is close by, and the apartment gave us a perfect mix of terrace and city buzz. 10/10. We stayed in the apartment with a terrace. After three flights of stairs, with no elevator, you reach the top floor. The climb was fine for us and the way up is beautiful. There are other apartments up there, but once inside, you forget about the neighbors. The place is big and clean, with everything we needed. The bedroom is really spacious and has a beautiful floor. The terrace feels like your own little oasis, with pretty rooftops, two sunbeds, and a spot to sit under a parasol roof. We had breakfast and pizza there. Thanks so much for letting us stay!

Francesco and Giusi were helpful with tips on places to see and good local restaurants, and he was always available when we had questions, including about public transport. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. The flat is a gem, recently renovated, sparkling clean, nicely decorated, and full of thoughtful touches. Its rooftop terrace is amazing. Just off Via Etnea, it’s right in central Catania, near the historic sights, bars, restaurants, and shops. A perfect base for exploring the city.
