Inside, the rooms are nicely updated and decorated, and they felt comfortable and welcoming. The outside of the hotel doesn't quite give that impression. The host was exceptionally thoughtful and kind, going out of his way to make sure our stay went well. His hospitality was more than we expected.

The room was clean and had all the amenities listed, and the price felt like good value. Staff were kind enough to let us leave our bags before check-in. It's a little way from the city centre, though still walkable, and getting there by public transport was quite difficult. What we booked matched the listing.

The host sorted out the few problems we ran into quickly and was responsive whenever we asked for help. We had a wonderful stay during the first week of July. Our room was roomy and very clean, and the central location made it easy to reach the beach and take public transport to points of interest. We'd be glad to come back.

Communication with the hotel staff was quick and good, though there is no reception or lobby on site. The bedroom was full of doors and keys, which was inconvenient: all the keys sat on one ring with a tag showing both the hotel and room numbers, so losing them or having them stolen would be a real problem. The room overlooks a courtyard and garages, with practically no view. Across the street there's a school, and during the week the children can wake you early since the windows don't block the noise. The place is newly furnished in a modern, tasteful style, with lots of storage, coat hooks, and enough towels. But the walls are extremely thin, including between the bathroom and adjoining rooms. You can hear someone talking or brushing their teeth in another room or apartment, and the bathroom fan and refrigerator are very loud. This really should have been checked. For a new place, I also expected more USB ports so international travelers wouldn't need adapters.
