Letizia made the stay especially good, sharing plenty of useful advice about the city and where to eat. The place itself is beautifully designed with care, and Catania’s center is an easy 15-minute walk away. If I return to Catania, I’ll stay here again.

We enjoyed the warm welcome and the chance to get a local feel for Catania and the surrounding neighborhoods. The rooms were clean, practical, and well kept. But the road noise continued through the night, and the balcony doors and windows clearly don’t block it, so this isn’t a good choice for light sleepers. The shared kitchen was tidy, and the people were friendly. Our room was spacious, though its tall, all-white cubicle feel made it rather bare and lacking in atmosphere. That’s not a major issue, but it didn’t seem to match a 4.6 Google score. Noise was a problem because the windows are single-glazed and face a busy street. The bathroom also smelled awful, had lots of mold, and the shower was very cramped. We struggled to find the entrance at first. The door looked like a factory entrance, with a 20cm threshold we had to lift our suitcases over, and the empty hallway felt a little creepy.

The owner's kindness made us feel at home right away. She was so welcoming and made the stay feel personal. The building is also in a handy spot for reaching the main sights, and the experience offered a welcome mix of peace and comfort. A really positive stay.
