Hotel Derby

The breakfasts were generous, varied, and really good, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. My husband and I had a lovely holiday at Hotel Derby. The owners were welcoming and always ready to help, and the beach was close by. Everything was wonderful.

The owners brought a warm, personal touch that you don't get at huge hotels. They were genuinely kind and helpful, and the place itself was quiet and relaxing. I stayed for a week and slept well with the ceiling fan, even without air conditioning. The rooms were very clean. It's also handy that breakfast is included and that you can use the dining room for takeout. The sea is about 200 meters away, and the main shopping street is just a short walk. Great value, I'd recommend it.

Really good value, and I had a great stay. My room and bathroom were both large. Breakfast had plenty of variety, with different sweets each day. Room 14 had that Romagna-style management!

The location worked out really well, with the beach less than two minutes away and no busy main road right outside, so evenings stayed calm. The prices were low for the quality. At the Derby Hotel, in its new B&B setup, I found a spotless, nicely sized room and a generous breakfast with fresh croissants and lots of homemade desserts. Both owners were warm and welcoming, and always willing to help. The two drawbacks for me were the lack of a proper shower, though that seems fair enough for a two-star hotel, and the air conditioning. Still, I'd definitely recommend it.
