We had an amazing week here and would definitely recommend staying. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The pool was cleaned daily, and the bedroom had mosquito protection. There were even some basic spices for cooking. Whenever we needed anything, our great host got back to us within minutes.

Angela and Riccardo were wonderful hosts, and I’ll miss their cheerful little daughter, ‘principessa’ Adelaide. Thank you for sharing your home and your hospitality with me. I spent about five weeks at Casa Pancole, a great stretch of time. Since I don’t speak Italian and few people nearby speak English, the clear email and text communication was especially helpful whenever I had a question or concern. The house was well equipped and had heating. WiFi was reliable and fine for email or watching a YouTube video. I felt safe there, too. During those extraordinary times, they had measures in place such as leaving at least 72 hours between check-outs and new check-ins, providing linen in a sealed envelope, and putting out sanitizing gel dispensers. Casa Pancole sits between the lovely village of Cavriglia and the small town of Montevarchi. I enjoyed the quiet countryside while still having local amenities, including supermarkets, nearby. It’s also well placed for cycling around the Chianti (Classico) area. The hills are challenging and the scenery astonishing. There wasn’t much car traffic, and drivers treated cyclists respectfully on those roads.

We had a warm welcome and a well-equipped apartment in a beautiful house with lovely grounds. The location is fantastic, and the region is superb and well worth exploring. The owners are a lovely, discreet family who took excellent care of us.

Angela and her husband were remarkably welcoming. On a gloomy day she asked if I wanted the fireplace lit, and when we arrived they showed us into Casa Pancole. On the table were three glasses of Chianti and a platter of prosciutto slices and pecorino cheese. It made for such a warm, familiar welcome. Set among olive trees in the quiet Tuscan countryside, Casa Pancole is beautifully presented. It brought to mind a time when the hearth was the heart of the home. What a beautiful experience. I highly recommend staying in this lovely house hosted by Angela and her family.
