Astro Suite Hotel

The best thing about this very old-school property is its position directly opposite the beach. The rooms feel dated, with few amenities: there was no iron or steamer, and we only had two pillows, both flat and poor quality. The bed was really uncomfortable. The pool looked nice, though we didn't use it.

The Astro Suit is a well-deserved four-star hotel, and I really recommend it if you're heading to Cefalu,Sicily. It's an ideal base for the beach, with the town and its sights an easy walk away. Lovely views, a great location, and service with a smile from the brilliant staff. I know I'll be back.

The apartments worked really well for our family of two adults and two kids, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout. Housekeeping came daily, and beach towels were supplied free at the start, with a small fee to swap them for clean ones. There's a little pool with nice sunbeds if hot sand isn't your thing, and the sea here is beautiful. Cefalu itself is super cute. The location is a big plus, right across the street from the best stretch of Cefalu beach, with everything else close too. It does mean noisy nights and early mornings, though. Breakfast is included, but it was the same each morning and didn't show local flavours very well. I'd suggest adding small reading lights in the living room and sun umbrellas on the balconies. Highly recommended.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel has a pool and secure underground parking, and it's well placed for the old town, the beach just across the road, and the train station, about a ten-minute walk away.
