Hotel La Giara

A nice room, good breakfast, and great staff.

Clean, with friendly staff and an excellent spot for getting to the beautiful public beach at Piani. The hotel has that old Ligurian feel, as if it’s still in the 60s or 70s, and breakfast is minimal. The WiFi doesn’t work, and you’ll want to bring your own shower gel since the two little sachets in the bathroom aren’t enough.

Those croissants at breakfast were delicious, and everyone on staff was extremely kind, especially the owner, who’s Tuscan. My husband and I stayed here three months ago and would go back in a heartbeat. The hotel is in a great location, just across the street from the beach. Our air-conditioned room even had a terrace. We’ll definitely return.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The building is very old, our room’s air conditioning was stuck at 24°C, and the TV was broken. Breakfast was poor, and one morning the croissants were so burnt that people wouldn’t eat them. The showers also need to be cleaner.
