Fabilia Family Hotel Milano Marittima

It's 23:00, and this is the fourth night in a row with really loud music coming from the hotel next door. I can hear it through a CLOSED WINDOW, and the music taste is poor too. Living in that hotel must cause permanent damage to your health. Stay away!

I live in a nearby hotel, and the insanely loud evening disco for kids is driving me mad. The music is horrible and tasteless. Those poor children will be deaf soon!

The staff were the biggest plus for me. Almost all were foreigners, mostly Romanian, and they were incredibly friendly and professional. The room was always spotless: beds made perfectly, no dust or sand, and clean towels. The housekeeper on the first floor was especially impressive, and the restaurant staff were very attentive. We were happy with what we got for the price of a week all inclusive for four people, and I'd return for that alone. The rooms were comfortable enough for a family with two children, and the bathroom was comfortable too, even without a window. The exhaust fan did its best. We didn't need to try the air conditioning from August 30th to September 6th. The sea view was pleasant, and getting to the beach was easy without crossing busy roads. The property is quite old. I believe it used to be called Hotel HS and was a four star place in the 1970s. It wasn't exactly dirty, more neglected. The dining room furniture is outdated, and lunch and dinner are split into two sittings. I have no complaints about the food: it's served at the counter, there's a decent choice, and it actually surprised me in a good way. There are some shortcomings. The hotel is on the outskirts, there are no bicycles, and the pool is rundown and shaded in the afternoon. It isn't heated, and the weather wasn't great, so we didn't use it. The entertainment wasn't very engaging either. The shower had little hot water pressure, probably because the single lever mixer was full of limescale. The doors are transparent, so you can hear footsteps in the corridor. If your room is near the stairwell or across from the elevator, you're done for. While we were there, some guests didn't seem to care about respecting others, letting screaming children run through the corridors. Last year I paid about 650 euros more at another hotel and didn't have these problems. I may have forgotten something, but for what this place offers and what I need, I was fine. Maybe, just maybe, I'll go back.
