The bed was comfortable, and the cleaning staff were very friendly. Still, we'll never stay here again. It was hot, proper beach weather, and the air conditioning didn't work for our entire stay. The room felt suffocating. With the window open, we got eaten alive by mosquitoes. The owner and staff tried to play down the problem as if staying in a hot room were normal, then blamed some sort of town council issue, which seemed like an excuse. They kept promising the air conditioning would be working in a couple of hours. The hotel had no trouble charging full price while failing to provide what we'd paid for. I found that dishonest and hope other guests don't run into a problem here, because it doesn't seem likely to get resolved.

There was a short delay finding our reservation, through no fault of the hotel, and the general manager insisted on treating us to drinks at the bar. That's a lovely way to welcome guests. The service was really, really good, and I strongly recommend the place.
