The building needs work. There was a hole in the wall with water dripping onto the floor, the walls were old and crumbling, the carpet was dirty, and our shower was already broken before we used it. The food, on the other hand, was good, and I’d give it five stars, with dishes prepared for vegan guests too. Service was just adequate, and the cleaning lady wasn’t very nice.

The area around the hotel is pretty shabby, though the lovely, quaint historic center is only a 20-minute walk away. The hotel itself was clean and decent, with simple, generous meals and very friendly staff.

The rooms were quiet, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful with every request. Special thanks to the waiters Elena, Eleonora Vera, and Herald, and to the chef who made an effort to prepare a snack for 5:00 AM. Thanks too to the lady who made the room lovely each morning, and of course to Paola, who makes it all possible. A comfortable place, and I recommend it.
