The rooms and apartment are modern and comfortable, in a beautiful setting, and lunch was delicious. The menu was mostly fresh local zucchini, with superb antipasti like fried zucchini flowers and crostini with zucchini and ricotta sauce. You have to pre-book, and there's no choosing dishes, you get whatever is served that day. Getting there was a bit hair-raising: the only road from the main road is a rough, stony, narrow, steep white road for about half a kilometer to the parking area.

We felt like part of the family by the end of our stay, thanks to how welcoming the family who own this farmstead were. The room was sweet, clean, and comfortable, though there's no air conditioning. It stays dark enough to keep most of the heat out. The simple home-cooked meals were some of our best, and the quality was excellent. One evening, a table for two was set facing the rolling hillside, and we had a romantic four-course dinner at sunset for £30 each, an excellent price. The host even ironed my husband's shirt for a wedding we were attending nearby. There are sweet cats around the place, too. Sharing dinner with the family and their friends on our last night made the stay especially memorable. We're so grateful for the experience, and would highly recommend it for an authentic Italian/Tuscan visit.

We had a delicious dinner here, a set four-course menu with wine. The traditional Tuscan food was exceptional, highly recommended.

Julio was such a welcoming host, chef, and owner that we returned two nights after our first visit. His four-course traditional Tuscan dinner was delicious, and every course won our “Best of the Trip” award. For €50 for two, we got a full platter of appetizers, a starter, main, side, dessert, and homemade wine, all homemade and farm-to-table. We had our two best meals of a two-week trip around northern Italy at this charming renovated farmhouse. It's a little hard to find, but worth it!

Real homemade flavors, lovely atmosphere, and great scenery. A perfect spot to relax, eat, and be happy.
