The whole stay left me feeling cheated and disrespected as a paying guest. The place felt like an abandoned, unsafe building instead of a relaxing seaside hotel, and the online photos looked nothing like what we found. It was outdated and dirty, with things not working properly and parts of the property falling apart, including crumbling walls and broken fixtures. We were told the pool wasn't included, despite it being advertised, and had to pay 10€ each to use it. We arrived at 17:00, when it was closing, but still had to pay full price. The balcony was shared, so there was no privacy. Our balcony door wouldn't shut properly, and the loose main door made me feel that anyone could push it open. I didn't feel safe leaving our belongings in the room. We improvised a lock and moved objects in front of the door. We went to the front desk and were told it would be fixed, but nothing was done. The young woman at reception was smug and not at all helpful. I would not spend money here. There are plenty of other hotels in Civitavecchia, and this one should not be operating as a hotel.

The food was good, but the rest was disappointing. There were no clean towels or bedding, and the Aircon remote had no batteries.

I ended up getting a room at a different hotel, Mercure, at 00:22. I can't recommend booking Baia del Sole or staying there. I had missed my ferry to Sardinia and needed somewhere overnight in a hurry, so it was the first time I'd booked without checking reviews. I arrived at 22:50 and couldn't find reception. After walking around for 20 minutes, I went to a nearby hotel to ask. They told me reception for both hotels was in their building. The receptionist gave me a key and brought me to a room with no working lights or electricity, and the room hadn't been made up. The bed was used and messy. He went for another key, but that room was just as messy. A woman from reception then tried several keys to find a clean, ready room, but couldn't find one. I was left waiting past midnight. Save yourself the time.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures online. They're very basic, and the place is horrible. There's no reception, so you have to go across the road to the other hotel. The WiFi doesn't work, there's a little horror soap in the shower, and the vending machine is broken. The car park is pitch black. For drinks and breakfast you have to cross to the other hotel, where you queue with the flies. It's far from the centre, with no taxis around. I would never recommend staying here or paying for it. I've had 98,000 views, so please don't go there ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

It's run down, with no pool or restaurant, whatever the photos show. You have to check in and eat at the other hotel, then walk back in the dark. It didn't feel safe and wasn't worth the money.
