The drive up was treacherous and dangerous, and the house itself was very hot with no fans available from the host. Bugs were everywhere, including huge spiders, which terrified some of my family. The top floor roof was sealed with Styrofoam, the kind used in gas station coolers. The beds were so short that my 6'1'' son couldn't sleep in one. We were very disappointed. The place felt old, creepy, and unclean. The toilets were dirty, there was hair in every bed, eyelashes and long hair, plus a strange soiled stain on one sheet. The laundry room floor, kitchen table, and sink were dirty too. It really didn't seem like the place had been cleaned after the last tenants left. When we arrived, we decided to leave, but my son got sick and developed a fever, so we had to get him somewhere cool and find medication right away. He was the priority, so I didn't have time to explain the cleanliness problems to the host then. I contacted him through Airbnb the next morning. The host was nice at first, but then said I'd made up everything I reported. I have no reason to lie. He also threatened to tell the commander at Aviano AB about our experience. Please tell him or her that we left your dirty home. I've traveled all over Europe, and this was by far my worst experience. We were glad to leave. I'll never rent an Airbnb again after this, since they did nothing to resolve it. They took my hard-earned money and did nothing. A costly lesson learned the hard way.

The area nearby is great for a swim in the river, a visit to grotte di pradis, or a stop at the ham factory in San Danielle. Andrea, our host, was unbelievably nice and helpful. The place has a lovely setting and an epic view. One of the best spots I've ever been to.

The garden and pool are top-notch, and the two dogs are super friendly too. Teresa and Andrea were excellent hosts, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. 😀

We were there in winter and the temperature indoors was really pleasant. The farmhouse is beautiful, renovated with care for its original features and furnished in style. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the location has a stunning view.
