We were impressed enough to return whenever we're in the area. The hotel feels personal and family run, and the check-in was quick and friendly. We visited in early September, a quiet time of year, but still felt welcomed as part of the family. The traditional local Italian dishes change each night and were consistently well prepared and high quality. Breakfast came to the table, with plenty of choices, and even our pre-dinner drinks had a personal touch. Our room was spacious, tidy, and well cared for. It's a peaceful little village below mount Maniva, a good base for summer cycling or winter skiing. There isn't much in the village, though Collio is only a few km away and has more amenities, including a public fountain with sparkling water. Parking at the hotel is out front for perhaps 6 or 8 cars, and there are more spots alongside it on the road.

William and his family deserve six-star congratulations for the outstanding practical, food, and personal service. I visited a few days ago with a large group of colleagues. This hotel and restaurant has been run by the same family for generations, and it's one of Lombardy's historic establishments. The facilities are adequate.

Nearby walks make this a lovely weekend lunch stop, and I'd recommend it. The food is very good and the prices are great. For €25, the meal includes a starter, first and second courses, dessert, coffee, and a liqueur, with water and wine too.
