Horst is lovely, and the central location makes it easy to get around. The B&B is very clean and nicely renovated, with roomy bedrooms and comfortable beds. There’s also a charming courtyard with tables, chairs and an umbrella, and somewhere to leave your bikes.

It’s a shame breakfast isn’t included. Guests can use a kettle, a pod coffee machine, tea bags and a tiny fridge, though. The courtyard is lovely, with tables, chairs and an umbrella, and you can leave your bikes there too. The B&B is centrally located, very clean and well renovated, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Horst is really kind.

The location was the main reason I’d return. The room and the small property were cute and very nice, but the B&B basically only provides a bed. There was a coffee machine and kettle, but no breakfast, despite the listing mentioning a buffet. I would have been happy to pay for breakfast, or even to be directed to a local bar, but neither was offered. We only used the water in the mini fridge, and unfortunately it was hot most of the time. The air conditioning was another issue. It would often stop blowing air, and although it was 27 degrees outside, we were told not to set it below 25/26 degrees. I wasn’t looking for the North Pole, just a chance to cool down after a hot day. There was no information about the city or what to see or where to eat, and the guides and maps were only in German.

The owners, Stefania and Enrico, are very welcoming, and Mrs. Marlene is kind and helpful. She made a generous breakfast with lots of sweet and savory choices, including homemade desserts. The B&B has been recently renovated, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. It’s very close to the center, with an outdoor spot where you can have breakfast. Everything was spotless, and the towels were changed every day.

I appreciated Marlene’s kindness and helpfulness. The room looks onto a quiet street, but there’s no guarantee of privacy or quiet, and it’s on the ground floor. The newly renovated place felt short on furnishings and basics: no room mirror, wastebasket, towels or slippers. The private bathroom is separate from the room, reached through the breakfast area. The welcome also felt rushed and a bit sketchy. I’d suggest this B&B for a short stay if you don’t have particular needs.
