I won't come back to this awful place, and I can't recommend it. The food was terrible, with artificial flavor enhancers throughout. The deer meat tasted soaked in flavoring from a cube, the polenta was rushed and runny, and the desserts had been reheated. 😖

The service was excellent, and they had very nice German beer. We had a great stay, with a perfect panoramic view over Lake Como. Everything matched the advertisement. If you're planning to hike up and down, keep the distance in mind. There was no bus available on the weekend.

After a long hike up from Como, we stopped for lunch at Baita Carla. The food tasted excellent and homemade, and the prices were very reasonable. Sitting outside with a glass of wine, we could enjoy views of Lake Como, the Matterhorn and the other Swiss mountains.

The service was even better than the food. They treated us so well, gave us recommendations, and let us finish without rushing us, even though they waited to close the restaurant. The food was AMAZING and pretty cheap for such fresh ingredients and that location. 🫶🏼🫶🏼
