Ostello Villa Franceschini

A lovely, well-kept park where you can bring the kids and your dog 🐕

There’s a generous breakfast here, well prepared and satisfying. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, and the outdoor area is lovely, with a pond and lots of animals. A park connects directly at the back. The hostel is set in an old villa, and you can still see beautiful frescoes across the walls and ceiling. Rooms are spacious and spotless, and the bathrooms were just as clean. Parking was convenient too, on a nearby street.

It’s not a chic place, but you get a lot for your money. The welcome is amazing, it feels like home, and the dinner was hearty and delicious. A hot shower and a good night’s sleep too. Breakfast was €30, and honestly, even at home they don’t look after you this well.

There’s a big, comfortable outdoor area, with a little pond and stone benches among the greenery. We saw turtles, geese, ducks, parrots, a quiet kitten, and a rabbit. I think families with kids would enjoy staying here. We were there for three days, and the meals were consistently satisfying, with generous, tasty first and second courses. The hosts were very kind. The rooms are simple but have what you need, including comfortable beds and clean sheets. There are warm blankets in the lockers. The shared bathrooms were practical and very clean, with toilet paper and hand towels always available. I had no issues or malfunctions while sharing them with other guests.
