Villa Ca Perosego

The accommodation itself was quite spacious, and the kitchen had cooking utensils, though the bathroom was old. The beds were a bigger problem. We’re a family of five with three children, but there was only a bed for two and a bunk bed that seemed dangerous because it had no railings. Booking.com said there was a sofa bed, but what we found in the living room was a fabric-covered sofa that felt uncomfortable to sit on, with no duvets or pillows. We discovered that after midnight, too late to reach reception, and there was nowhere for us to sleep, so we got no rest. It was an expensive place, which made the disappointment worse. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was so bad I had to write one. Check-in was difficult and inconvenient: you have to go to the reception at Hotel 'Aquila' in the city center, a four-minute drive away, and check in by 7:30 PM. We later found out there’s a fine if you’re late. We didn’t know this and went near the accommodation first, but it was hard to find and contact the landlord. I’ve traveled extensively in Europe, and this was the first time I’d stayed somewhere that required checking in elsewhere. Even after check-in, the house was hard to find with only the laminated instructions. The directions mentioned a house with a yard in the basement, perosego2. If you open the ground-floor door, which is the first floor in Korea, there are stairs; up them, another house with a terrace is on the left, perosego1. That was our accommodation, but it was difficult for foreigners or first-time visitors to locate. It suddenly started raining heavily, and with children along we couldn’t find it. We tried contacting reception but got no response. We drove back there with photos of the house to ask where it was. When we asked why they hadn’t reached us, they said they only communicate through online chat and couldn’t check the messages because they were busy. In the pouring rain, we eventually found the house and got our luggage inside. It took two hours just to check in and get into the accommodation.
