A lovely agriturismo among olive groves, with beautiful surroundings. The owner is friendly and had useful tips for the area. We went in October, when the pool had been emptied and the pizza evenings were already over, unfortunately. You'll need to drive a few minutes to the nearest town to get food. It's a good base for trips to the nearby cities.

Bruno made us feel like friends right away, and even called nearby Cortona to arrange dinner reservations for us. The grounds are clearly something he takes pride in, and he was attentive whenever we had questions. Our apartment was clean and well looked after, with local art and photos, comfortable beds, a roomy bathroom, and a full kitchen with a dishwasher. There was everything we needed to eat in, and our son especially liked the massage shower. The kids had a hard time leaving the pool. There was also a swing set, merry-go-round, ping-pong table, assorted games, and a small toddler pool, so it's a family-friendly place. The jasmine hedge around the pool had a fragrance we'll always associate with Tuscany, and our evening walks through the olive grove are still a fond memory. We chose the property for its central position between Siena and Assisi, both on our itinerary. The photos on Bruno's site don't capture how beautiful it really is, and the stay exceeded our expectations. When we arrived on Thursday evening, Bruno was making wood-fired pizzas for everyone outside. He suggested we pop down to the nearby grocery shop for toppings, and sharing the fresh pizzas turned into a fun way to meet the other guests. We'd definitely like to come back.
