Hotel Duomo

There were quite a few mosquitoes in the room even though we kept the window closed, and outside noise and sounds from next door kept us from sleeping. The room itself was okay. The location is excellent, right in front of the piazza and duomo, and the service was good. Both breakfast and dinner were good too.

The standout for us was the staff. They were professional and worked hard, just getting on with what needed doing. Our room was cleaned every morning and left immaculate, as was the rest of Hotel Duomo. Breakfast was included and enjoyable. It’s table service, with a limited choice of cooked items, and the omelette was a favourite. Coffee was freshly made, with several juices to choose from. The restaurant where breakfast was served was almost full each evening, and for good reason: the food is very good. Our room was on the small side but laid out nicely and comfortable. The bed was large, the shower hot with good pressure, and the air conditioning was quiet and useful. The facilities are fairly basic otherwise. We had a very pleasant stay in a wonderful location.

I’ve stayed here many times. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff are helpful and efficient. It’s right by the main square, the duomo, and the fabulous Portici bar. There can be some noise from nearby bars on certain nights, but it’s manageable. The attached restaurant is very good for pizza and the like, with good value for money.

We hadn’t planned to stay in Cremona, and one of us had food poisoning from the day before, but we easily got a room here before noon. The staff were so kind, and we really appreciated that. The beds were comfortable and the rooms nice. The bathrooms are dated, but very clean, with hot showers, so it was great. The restaurant food was delicious, and breakfast, which was included, was very good too. Such a lovely stay.
