I was in Dobbiaco and needed a room late at night. After being told to book through Booking.com, I found no rooms available there, and my next ten calls went unanswered. Eventually someone picked up and said he needed to call Bologna to arrange the booking. By then it was 11 PM. I politely asked whether arriving at 3 AM would be all right. The receptionist was very rude and told me to book somewhere else. That was my experience of this hotel.

We found the place by taking a lovely path beside the stream from Dobbiaco, and had a very pleasant two-night stay. The staff were welcoming, and everything felt clean and well cared for. Breakfast had a good mix of sweet and savory choices, while dinner was simple and tasty.

The food was delicious, made with natural ingredients, and our room had everything we needed with nice furnishings. We had a positive experience all around.

The garden was a real pleasure, shaded and quiet whenever we used it. The property has been renovated recently and looks beautiful. This is a simple kind of holiday, and the price is very reasonable for the area. Our room was small for a family with two or three children, but comfortable. The staff were helpful, and the kitchen took everyone’s needs into account. For a family break, the fair price is probably its biggest draw.
