We loved the breakfasts and the four-course dinners each night, along with the music and entertainment in the saloon. You can see how much care and work has gone into Hotel Villa Monica. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's a warm, bright, clean, friendly family-run place where you feel welcomed and cared for. The rooms are simple, comfortable and clean, and lovely details throughout make the property feel updated. Roman and Monica were excellent hosts. When severe thunderstorms delayed our AV1 trek, an unexpected third night became necessary. They extended our stay, arranged help with a taxi service and had our bags shipped. I loved staying here. Thanks, Roman and Monica, for taking such good care of us!

Monika and her team made our four-night stay at Hotel Villa Monica a lovely experience. They were quick, clear and helpful whenever we communicated, and went out of their way to look after us. When we missed the bus, they set our dinners aside. They also provided laundry service on request and served a comforting, delicious dinner menu that changed each night. The place is handy for public transport: the nearest bus stop is about a five-minute walk away, and the walk from the train station takes around 20 minutes and is scenic. We highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Dobbiaco.

We loved this place and will definitely come back for a longer stay. The owners gave us such a warm welcome and really went out of their way for us. We were lucky to arrive on a Saturday, when there was a complimentary happy hour, a feast like no other. Both breakfast and dinner were plentiful, and the wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The sauna and steam room were incredible, and the solarium had a million-dollar view. We're heading off to hike the Alta Via 1 well fed and plump after our time here.

The chef deserves a special thank you. Every night we were there, the food was amazing. This family business in Dobbiaco is full of wonderful people, and when things are perfect, you have to say so.

We never stayed at the hotel, but dinner at its restaurant was the best meal of our whole vacation. The steak, wine, and service were all spot on. We only wish we could have gone back on our last night, but they were fully booked.
