I’ve eaten here a couple of times and would definitely recommend it. The service was pleasant and attentive, and the food is lovely. I especially recommend the tortelloni. The main courses I ordered came with a complimentary side of mixed vegetables, and the prices were very reasonable for such a central location. There’s a traditional dining room, plus some outdoor seating for warmer evenings.

I wouldn’t recommend eating here. The menu was awful and very basic, desserts included, and I cook better myself. The pasta wasn’t al dente, and the bread tasted stale, maybe more than a day old. They controlled every little thing: no pepper, salt, or olive oil on the table, and they even served the cheese on the pasta themselves. It all felt ridiculous and greedy.

The town center is close, and this was the best breakfast I’ve had so far. The rooms are large and the staff are friendly. Getting there was difficult because of roadworks, and parking is an issue. The shower wasn’t great either, with low water pressure.

The room was clean, though there’s no air conditioning. We brought large suitcases, which was our mistake, since we had to carry them up to the room. The owner was very accommodating, and I liked how they personally looked after guests at check-in and during breakfast. They even drove my husband and me to the bus station when tunnel maintenance meant we had to take a bus instead of the train for our next leg. Thanks for accommodating our late check-in and making our Domodossola stay memorable.
