Lovera franciacorta

The owner and manager’s behavior was abhorrent. He threatened me several times, raising his voice and putting his hands close to my face as if I were a child. I asked about having a fireplace lit in my room a week in advance, and was told it was possible, but later they said it wasn’t. I was also told I’d get a refund for the room because I physically couldn’t sleep, and I repeatedly asked what they could do about it. Nearly 10 days later, after asking three or four times, I still haven’t been refunded. The answer is, “I’ll check on it.” The main reason I couldn’t sleep was a huge party the owner or manager had booked in the upstairs dining room, next to our bedroom. Music was blasting, with people coming and going like it was a private house party, until 2am. Moving rooms in the night made no difference because the place is quite small, with a cozy house manor feel. They claim to have a 2* Michelin chef, but the pappardelle al ragù they made when I asked for something simple was one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had. The pasta was overcooked, and the sauce lacked salt and flavor. Avoid at all cost.
