The owners are genuinely friendly. La Leccina is a great place to get away.

The garden and adjoining olive grove are wonderful, and the pool is a real treat on a relaxing day. Though the property is set apart from town, it’s peaceful, and the location still works well for reaching popular places around Puglia within 1.5 hours. The region is huge, with places like Polignano, Alberobello, Otranto, Ostuni and Salento, and there are lovely beaches nearby too. The family who own La Leccina are welcoming and helpful. They gave us useful tips for our stay, including attractions and local restaurants that deliver. Our apartment was clean and inviting, carefully looked after, and had plenty of comforts: a washing machine, dishwasher, grill, beach towels, bikes, extra blankets, and more. Staff came by early in the morning almost every day to check and maintain the pool without disturbing us, so it was clean and ready when we woke up. The main inconvenience was that the water throughout the property wasn’t potable, including in the kitchen and bathroom for personal hygiene. This wasn’t disclosed when we booked. I’m not sure whether that was the management company’s responsibility, the owners’, or both. The owners did provide enough water for our week, but it was still inconvenient, and washing with non-potable water wasn’t ideal. Aside from that, many compliments, we absolutely recommend it!
