We stayed with my family in February in this very nice, typically Venetian rental in Cannaregio. It feels local, with supermarkets where you can shop and some non-touristy restaurants close by, which we really enjoyed. It's a bit out of the way and quite far from San Marco, but still walkable each day. It wasn't particularly cheap, though for the price paid it seemed okay overall.
A beautiful place, with a canal view and a terrace.
The canal is right outside, and the city is easy to reach on foot. There's a supermarket with a bakery just two minutes away. Inside, the apartment is luxuriously furnished, with air conditioning and a very well-equipped kitchen.
A very modern apartment in the heart of Venice. The one drawback for me was the lighting, which is much too bright.
