It's a quiet base for winter sports, and a good starting point for the Dolomites if you don't mind driving. The place sits above 1,000 meters in the Italian mountains, about an hour by car from Lake Garda, away from the tourist bustle. You can rent a fully furnished apartment at an attractive price, with a big terrace and garden. The owner is friendly and nearly always available, so it could suit you and your family well.

The apartments are well kept, and the owners are very kind and helpful. Still, I can't give five stars because the building has several levels and stairs, with no elevator, so it won't work well for anyone with leg or walking problems. It's also unsuitable for disabled guests. The booking sites make this clear, so you are warned in advance.

A lovely garden gives you room to sunbathe or sit at the big table in the shade. The place is clean and very nice, close to the center of Fai and the local trails. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Top marks for the ski and snowboard rental. The staff know their stuff, and the service is excellent.

A bit pricey, but I think it's worth the cost.
