La Suite nel Bosco

Alberto welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. He clearly loves his region, and that hospitality was the best part of our stay. My family and I visited in early August and had a lovely time. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with two spacious rooms, a bathroom, and a small room with a fridge stocked with packaged breakfast food, water, milk, and juice. I hope this is taken as a suggestion for improvement: the setup seems caught between a holiday rental and a B&B, and that may bring out shortcomings. For a B&B, breakfast is a key part of the experience. Packaged products make sense unless the place is certified, but it would be nice to have someone offer coffee and perhaps a chat. Self-catering fits a holiday rental, where guests can manage their own time and space. Here, though, there’s no proper indoor breakfast area or working kitchen, not even a sink for washing a dish. So it wasn’t a particularly comfortable B&B, since eating breakfast inside without a table or other support was difficult. There was no parking either, and we didn’t think the space outside the gate was suitable. The place does have a lot of human warmth, although we didn’t get to enjoy much of it. I’d rethink the interior layout, add a seating area, and create parking inside. Then it might work better as a holiday rental rather than what I found to be a somewhat lacking B&B.

The owner suggested places to see and affordable restaurants each day, which helped us make the most of our short break. We stayed at Suite nel bosco over the April 25th long weekend and were very pleased with the B&B. It was a warm welcome, the room was pleasant, and the location worked really well for visiting Fasanolandia, Alberobello, and nearby places. We’ll definitely return.
