The food was extraordinary. What seems to be one chef turned even basic dishes into masterpieces, and I don’t think I’ve tasted anything that came close. The villa near Livorno sits on a hill with breathtaking views, making the early mornings feel special. Inside, the history is palpable, with gorgeous furniture, paintings and tall painted ceilings. It’s quiet, romantic and beautiful. The waitress can sometimes get confused speaking English, but she’s still very kind and welcoming.

Room 205 felt magical, and the whole stay was a magnificent Tuscan experience. The local village has just the right variety of high-quality food and wine.

We had an excellent dinner, and the overall price felt like good value. The hotel is relaxing, with old-world charm and wonderful views. The host was very welcoming, and the staff were lovely. It’s only half an hour from Pisa airport.

It’s a small, nice village and gives you a bit of a Tuscan experience, depending on what you’re after. We may have missed it, but the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was nice on the first day, when we arrived at 8 and had plenty to choose from. At 9 the next day, the selection was poor.

The rooms are beautiful, and the staff are very friendly. It sits on a hill where there are nice breezes in the evening, so it stays cool in summer even without A/C.
