Corte della Cava

Virginia, who owns the place with Giuseppe, was always available when we needed something, but never intrusive. Our residence was big and spacious, with a comfortable bed and all the practical comforts: a fully equipped kitchen with dish soap, sugar, salt, coffee, and paper towels, a large fridge with a bottle of water, a washing machine with detergent, an iron and ironing board, and air conditioning. The two buildings have residences in different sizes and on several levels, and some are privately owned. The ground floor ones have covered patios and useful balconies at the back, overlooking a lush underground garden. It’s expected to be acquired by the court and made usable soon. If that happens, the Court will have earned my fifth star. The location is quiet despite being close to the center. The patios are separated by hedges and walls, but face the same access road, so there’s a little less privacy. Still, sharing is part of the charm of a holiday place. A spot I’d absolutely return to.

Virginia really knows her work, and you can feel how much she cares about her apartments and guests. She picked us up at the port, though it wasn’t far away, and walked us through the beaches and winds in detail, which was especially useful since we’re not experts. She also suggested typical island places and good bike rentals. The apartment was so well looked after that we felt at home. The kitchen worked perfectly, and supplies included dish soap, coffee, sugar, paper towels, and water in the fridge. There was detergent for the washing machine, plus a drying rack and umbrella. Air conditioning and linens were provided too. Virginia was always available and clearly puts real passion into her work. Thank you!

With two children, we couldn’t have asked for a better location, and the apartment was impeccably clean. Giuseppe was a delight as host, attentive and professional, with excellent advice and more helpful than we’d expected. We had a wonderful two-night stay and hope to come back soon.

Virginia was such a lovely host. You can tell she puts passion into her work and wants to give her guests the best. She shared tips on places to see and restaurants, and made us feel like guests, not customers.
