La Dimora del Croccio

I planned to stay a couple of nights and ended up adding a few more. Rasaldo was a great host, generous with breakfast, and really helpful with tips on nearby hikes and restaurants. Fantastic place, I can’t recommend it highly enough. 6/5.

Ronaldo welcomes you with a smile, and breakfast at the B&B is good. The place is quiet and comfortable, with new, modern rooms. It’s just outside Felitto, so you can enjoy the countryside, walk to the Calore river, or hike into the Parco Nazionale del Cilento.

We came away with a family connection we never expected. I told our host, Rosaldo, that my great-grandfather was born in Felitto, and he put me in touch with his Uncle. His Uncle’s genealogical research helped me learn a great deal about my ancestors, and we discovered Rosaldo and I are distant cousins. We’re delighted we stayed at La Dimora del Croccio and hope to return. The farm and its grounds are beautiful and well kept, and our room felt brand new, as well as being clean and very comfortable. A path on the property goes down to the Gole del Calore trailhead and Calore river park, where there’s a beautiful swimming hole. Rosaldo also helped us book dinner and made a lovely breakfast with homemade marmalade from Cilento figs.

Getting to the Calore River gorges on foot was easy: a short trail from the property leads to the old Remolino dam, where several paths start for exploring the gorges and their striking scenery. We spent three wonderful days here in late August 2025. The property is new, clean, and well looked after. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with Wi-Fi and a mini-fridge. Breakfast was served on a lovely English lawn, with excellent homemade cakes and jams from the owner. Rosaldo was very kind and helpful, and suggested restaurants and things to see nearby. We hope to come back soon.
