The food was great, the setting lovely, and the people kind. Lots of nature around too!
The meal felt almost like an event, with a generous run of Aosta Valley dishes: appetizers, two first courses, a main and dessert, all made with fantastic ingredients. We stopped for lunch here as a family after visiting Fénis Castle, and the picturesque farmhouse was so welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and perhaps almost too quick with the service. For the menu, the quality and price were more than fair. Book ahead, and I’d happily recommend it.
The staff's warmth and the traditional Aosta Valley food were what really stood out for us. For €15 each, there was so much to eat: cured meats, lard, cheeses and other appetizers, followed by Aosta Valley crepes, carbonada with polenta, house red wine, dessert, coffee and amaro. They even let my four-year-old son have pasta with sauce without charging for his plate, which I'd never had happen before. It’s a real agriturismo, with no need for frills because everything feels authentic. In the garden we met relaxed cats and dogs, a freely roaming pig and the horses. There are also a slide and swing for kids. We all left happy, and we're sure to return with more friends. Thanks to the owners and staff!
Lella's food is better than what you get in many restaurants, and with the generous servings it's hard to leave anything on the plate. Prices are very reasonable, around €20-30 per person. The rooms are simple, as you'd expect at an agriturismo, but comfortable and very clean. Its central spot is handy for excursions all around the Aosta Valley. Lella practically runs the place from beginning to end. She looks after the horses, cows, chickens, vegetable garden and fruit trees, and makes excellent jams and juices. The atmosphere is friendly and family-like, thanks to her and the staff. This is one of the few truly authentic agriturismos. I respect that people have different preferences, but complaints about missing Wi-Fi or not always being able to take leftovers away seem to come from wanting a different kind of place, or just wanting to get a great deal. And yes, I paid by credit card, just like at the best hotels. Thanks again, Lella. Raffaele and Paola from Rome
The €25 menu really does include everything, and this time we couldn't manage to finish it all. Every course was delicious, with plenty of typical local food, so it wasn't just a matter of huge portions. The staff looked after us so well that we felt right at home. Our son's pasta was on the house too. Bonheur means happiness, and that's what we found here. I'm nearly two hours away, but already planning to come back. See you soon! 😁
