Ambasciatori Place Hotel

I booked this online as an easy, well-priced stop after a long day of travel. I was too tired to use the wellness facilities and just wanted to sleep, though there was plenty of activity going to and from the spa, so other guests seemed to be enjoying it. The room was spacious and had the basics you might need if you'd forgotten bathroom supplies. The benefits did feel a bit stiff, and thick robes were provided for anyone using the spa. Dinner was mixed: one entrée was great, while the other left me unsure. Breakfast the next morning was fresh and very good, with lots of healthy choices, fresh juices, and amazing coffee made by a professional barista. That guy was absolutely amazing, a focused, highly skilled whirlwind and a remarkable maestro. Xoxo!

The location is good and check-in was easy, but I wouldn't come back. My partner and I booked one night with a light dinner and spa access. The bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom very clean, but the walls were marked up. There was no coffee or anything stocked in the fridge to buy, and the TV was small, perched on a desk in the corner, so a movie after the spa wasn't much of an option. The spa's mildew smell made me question how clean everything was. The outdoor jacuzzis weren't hot enough, the indoor pool had few working massage jets and very weak pressure, and the staff didn't seem very attentive. There was no handrail on the stairs down to the spa, which felt like a major safety hazard. The light dinner was a big letdown, with poor quality and a terrible selection. Hummus and vegetables felt more like an aperitivo than dinner, and calling it that might avoid disappointing guests. We arrived early and were the only ones there, but were assigned a table in the middle of the room. Five minutes later another couple came in, and with 30 empty tables they were seated right beside us. It was a fine experience, just nothing special, and I would rather have gone somewhere else.

We could walk from this centrally located hotel to parks, restaurants, and shops. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. The spa felt relaxing and was well maintained; I had the best massage I've tried so far in Italy. Breakfast was amazing, with lots to choose from, including American and typical Italian options like Cornetto e cappuccino, plus cereal, fruit, fresh orange juice, cakes, and biscuits. The restaurant was elegant and romantic, just right for a dinner date after an afternoon at the spa.

The parking area is a bit small, but it's free and the doorman helps you find a spot. The hotel is conveniently located in Fiuggi and very comfortable. There are plenty of massage and spa options to request, with a steam tube, sauna, water bedding, and an outdoor spa for relaxing. The food is very Italian in style, and breakfast is fine, with continental choices as well as typical Italian coffee and cappuccino. I'd recommend it for a romantic weekend escape where you can find yourself.
