Hotel Villa Maria Letizia

The owner was very kind, and the food was very good. I stayed here for a Sant'Egidio community conference. The rooms were good, though a little small, especially the bathroom for two people. I hope to come back one day :)

Given what I paid, I found the place unsatisfactory. The only strong point I could identify was its central location. The rooms were dirty, the towels stained, and there were many bedbugs. Meals were packaged and often cold or spoiled, with even the chicken served raw. The water was close to its expiry date and started to smell not long after opening.

We left a night early after spending a sleepless night fighting the bugs. Dark bedbugs were flying around the room and the shared areas, and we worried they might get into the beds. The hotel was dated and neglected, and the radiators were often off. Even when they were on, they didn't warm the room or bathroom enough, so we were cold. A bad experience, and I wouldn't come back.

This little hotel is in a peaceful green spot at the end of a dead-end road, just off the main road. It's only a few hundred metres from the bus station and thermal baths, and about an hour from Rome. A lovely find for exploring Ciociaria or escaping Rome's heat. The central location also puts it close to the city center and Bonifacio Thermal Baths. Gianpiero and his staff are so kind and attentive, and the place is impeccably clean. The style is a bit dated and there's no real frill, but the quiet, cleanliness and courtesy make up for that. There are comfortable indoor sitting areas and a pretty flower garden with shaded places to sit. Ask for a room looking out over the garden, greenery and hills. Shaded parking is right beside the hotel, and there's a lift for people with impaired mobility. Small and medium-sized dogs are welcome. Half-board and full-board are available at competitive prices, with simple meals. Good value for money.
