B&B Margiò

Silvana had thought through every detail and was so kind and accommodating. There was a crib ready for our baby, breakfast set out early for our flight, and she even called us a cab the next morning. We stayed at Margiò Bed & Breakfast on a stopover before our next flight, and it blew us away. The B&B is beautiful, modern, clean, and smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. My husband, who’s hard to impress, was genuinely impressed by the design. If we lived in Rome, I’d ask who did the work. Little things like hand towels, which I miss as an American, and access to laundry made it feel like home. The location worked perfectly, three bus stops from the airport hotel and about a 20-minute walk to the beach, with plenty of restaurants. Silvana may have only just opened, but she’s got the business down to a science. We’d absolutely stay again. She set the bar high.

Silvana’s Bed and Breakfast was just right for our night before flying out of Rome. It was pristinely clean, with lots of good snacks and nice breakfast options, and she even called us a cab and saved us the usual taxi markup. If you need somewhere comfortable and close to the airport, this far exceeded our expectations.

The bus runs once an hour from the airport and back, and the fare is 1.30 euros. Buy your ticket at a kiosk or online, though, because I was charged 7 euros on the bus. When Silvana heard what happened, she went out of her way to get me a return ticket for my early morning flight and wouldn’t let me pay for it. Grazie cara Silvana! She really cares about her guests. Everything was new and extremely clean, with a fresh laundry smell, a rich breakfast, and a huge, super comfortable bed. Silvana is the warmest, most welcoming host. This was one of my best B&B stays. I’ll definitely return!

Silvana took care of everything I needed, even offering me a room at midnight and helping me get there. The house is new and clearly renovated with an eye for detail, and it was spotless. In the morning, the well-stocked kitchen had plenty of options for a nice Italian breakfast. Thank you, Silvana!
