Don Chisciotte

The old monastery has been renovated into a really nice restaurant. I came across it by chance and booked through The Fork, which gave us a 30% discount. We started with seafood salad and fries, then had grilled calamari, fillet, sautéed chicory, and arugula salad. Strawberries with ice cream were a delicious finish, and the house red wine was good too. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We travelled almost 100 km to get there on a Saturday night and ended up hungry and furious. At the entrance, a woman heard that we had booked through The Fork and immediately said we had the wrong place, that the restaurant next door was the one in the reservation. When I showed her the booking on my phone, she said irritably that they had not been on The Fork for a while and sent us away without trying to help. We had booked in good faith, and even if there was a mix-up, we deserved basic courtesy and an attempt at a solution. I've never been treated like that before. Absolutely terrible. If this is how customers are treated, maybe it's time for a different career.

The owner and waiters were friendly, and the place has a nice rustic feel. We had crispy, delicious pizza.
